Please bring your own paper, pencils and material such as pastels that you want to learn more about. Also a small watercolor tin, such as the ones you see children use would be helpful. Your own charcoal sticks, an eraser that can be kneaded is a helpful tool to use with charcoal and pastel. Lots of material will be available, such as different kinds of paper, all kinds of pastels, acrylic paint and colored pencils. We will also provide three-dimensional objects to use. This workshop is going to be fun as we learn!
Do you have an interest in learning more about Contemporary Paganism and Wicca? Have you ever wondered what these religions do and how they are connected? What is the difference between Paganism and Wicca? Who are their Gods and Goddesses? How is the word “Witchcraft” associated with these two groups? Where does the idea that those who practice Paganism are Satanists come from? What is the connection between Spiritualism and Contemporary Paganism? Have you always been drawn to Contemporary Paganism or Wicca and want to learn if it is right for you?
While there is still a great deal of stigma attached to these two religious groups, the interest in these traditions is growing at an astounding rate. Join me for a journey into the past as we examine the history of Contemporary Paganism and Wicca, then move into the present and future of the fastest growing religion in the U.S. This workshop is designed to introduce you to the interworking of Contemporary Paganism and Wicca, while clearing up some of those unfortunate misconceptions associated with these two groups.
