The ancient Egyptian books of the afterlife – The Book of the Dead, Pyramid Texts, Coffin Texts and others – offered the soul a basic road map for maneuvering from this life to the next. One needs to be familiar with what was in the underworld, know how to greet the deities there, and use your spiritual energies to ascend through the hours of the night. The true purpose of knowing these things was to prepare the living individual for his death. Through theses prayers, affirmations, and invocations one learned the secret of learning to turn death consciousness into life consciousness.

Rev. Normandi Ellis was ordained a Spiritualist minister in 2015 and a High Priestess through the Fellowship of Isis/Isis Oasis in 2018. She is a clairvoyant medium, astrologer, and author. Her first book, Awakening Osiris (1989) was translated from the hieroglyphic text of the Book of the Dead and is considered a spiritual classic. Fourteen books later, she has published Hieroglyphic Words of Power (2020), which is an oracular deck detailing how particular words work as talismans and oracles. She lives on the grounds of Camp Chesterfield, enjoys reading hieroglyphic oracles and teaching metaphysical classes at the Chesterfield Spiritualist College. She also leads trips to Egypt (twoladiestravelco.com).
